Mt. Olive has casts it's bread upon the waters in the area of ministry with The Colorado Project. In 2010 Mt. Olive Baptist Church purchased 62 acres of land near Ordway, Colorado. The property is approximately 65 miles southeast of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is situated about 1 mile west of Lake Meredith. The need for ministry in this part of the world is evident, but like so many of God's plans, the big picture is not yet clear (hence the name, The Colorado Project).

It may please the Lord to have a church built, a children's home, a camp meeting... there are many avenues for ministry. Although there's no specific direction at this time, that hasn't stopped Mt. Olive from forging ahead with preliminary efforts that include renovations to the house currently on the property and constructing a new all purpose/utility building. We're poised to minister to the people of this land, and labor for the Lord.
